2018, the review [part II]

11 January 2019

Now let's talk about transport engineering.

In Senegal we developed the studies for Cotière, the country’s new highway. The project’s first phase is 114km long and connects Dakar to Lompoul – the highway will shorten trip durations, reduce accidents and benefit fishing, agriculture and tourism.

In Portugal, more specifically in Madeira, we worked on the new connection between Estreito da Calheta and Jardim do Mar with a new tunnel, which will be more than one kilometre long. The goal is to improve safety preventing accidents related with landslides that currently occur on this section of ER223.

We also highlight the repaving of Estoril’s race track, where we handled the engineering and design services. Moving south: we continued the studies for the electrification of the Algarve corridor in the section between Faro and Vila Real de Santo António.
