It’s the final countdown. This weekend our city, Vila Real, hosts the WTCR - World Touring Car Championship.
This Friday, June 22, there are training sessions and the races take place on Saturday and Sunday, June 23 and 24.
This is an opportunity to remember moments of the car racing tradition that since the 1920s is part of the city – and that has crossed paths with NRV|Norvia’s history.
Here we share two images: the oldest photo is from the beginning of the 90's and at the wheel is Manuel Fernandes, a local driver. In the second photograph, of 2002, runs his son Manuel Pedro Fernandes, also a racing driver.
