Every year about 8 million tons reach the oceans and there are close to five trillion pieces left behind. They affect more than 700 marine species and 87% of the birds in the Canadian Arctic have ingested it. The plastic waste numbers are scary, but it’s important to remember them on the World Nature Conservation Day that is celebrated this Sunday, July 28th.
We propose a toast – with a mug. We have taken a small step in abolishing the disposable plastics in our offices, such as bottles and water glasses. Now we have a more sustainable option (bamboo) that allows numerous uses. Cheers!
