A new Aga Khan academy has opened its doors. With a capacity for 750 students and 90 teachers in a large 22-hectare campus in Matola, at the outskirts of the city of Maputo, the school, which will also supports underprivileged children, is a project of the Ismaili Muslim community that wants to form “national leaders”.
The official opening took place last week with the presence of the Presidents of Portugal and Mozambique. NRV was responsible for the engineering design and design team coordination, in partnership with NLA | Nuno Leónidas Arquitectos, M&P arquitectos, Topiaris Landscape Architecture and TPF - Consultores de Engenharia e Arquitetura.
