The public tender of the contract for the Algarve railway line electrification, between Faro and Vila Real de Santo António, was published in the Portuguese official journal at the end of October.
This project is part of the National Railway Network Modernization Plan, co-funded by the European Union within the scope of Portugal 2020, and aims to improve safety and comfort conditions on a 56 kilometer section.
NRV, in a consortium with SETEC, provided the necessary design services for Infraestruturas de Portugal.
