PNOT for São Tomé e Príncipe is on it's final phase

25 September 2020

The PNOT project - National Plan for Spatial Planning of São Tomé and Príncipe - has entered the final phase and is already in public consultation.

After the work on drafting new legal diplomas and aerial photography and cartography was completed, in August the public consultation process began for the Master Plans of the six Districts of São Tomé (Água Grande, Mé-Zóchi, Cantagalo, Lobata, Lembá and Caué) and the Master Plan for the Autonomous Region of Príncipe. In September, it was the national plan that entered that same final moment of consultation.

On August 28, a presentation of the Plan was made by video-conference to the Prime Minister, Jorge Bom Jesus and to the Council of Ministers, meeting specially for this purpose.

The PNOT project is financed by the African Development Bank and is part of a strategy for São Tomé and Príncipe to reduce poverty, on one hand, and to establish a sustainable development, on the other hand. NRV is in charge of the global project management and the areas of spatial planning and infrastructure.
