Feasibility study for the construction of 5 bus stations, consisting in the development of an interface between the urban public transport and intercity public transport, taxis and freight transport, in order to decrease the density of traffic in city centers. With the modernization of the public urban passenger transport system is intended to:

  • Decrease traffic congestion within the city;
  • Improve the organization of road traffic;
  • Increase safety and passenger comfort;
  • Facilitate the mobility of people with effective global benefits in reducing the travel time / cost.

For the study was conducted a traffic study in key areas, taking into account the urban area and main infrastructure; a cost / benefit analysis in order to quantify the economic impacts; design of projects considering "Traffic Study" and the spaces available by local councils involved (Praia, Santa Catarina, Santa Cruz and Tarrafal).

Study of existing situation; Traffic counts and traffic studies; Analysis and evaluation of socio-economic context; Preparation of economic and demographic forecasts. Preliminary design and detailed design of bus station to build.
