CANTO CAGARRA DAM & NETWORK SUPPLY

Gravity dam in mortar bonded stone for water retention to supply agriculture watering, irrigating a total of 60 ha. Dam characteristics:
. Maximum height above foundations of 37,7 m and crown with total length of 67 m;
. Bleeder sized for a maximum flow of 640,9 m³/s, consisting of a single free discharger (type Creager) by the discharge channel on the badges below the dam, ending a ski jumping hill;
. Bottom discharge (Ø500 mm) inserted in the dam body and sized for a maximum flow of 1,6 m³/s;
. Water intake for irrigation (Ø400 mm) in the upstream face of the dam.
The irrigation water system uses a main conduit FFD cast iron and HPDE (Ø300 mm).
