CASCAIS MUNICIPAL AIRFIELD - APRON DELTA PLATFORM

Cascais Municipal Aerodrome (ICAO Code: LPCS), also known as Tires Aerodrome, is located in Tires, Cascais. Its runway 17/35 is in asphalt, 1700 m long and 30 m wide.

Within the scope of the development Plan for Cascais Municipal Aerodrome, the study consisted of the pavement bearing capacity evaluation of Apron D (parking area - D) aiming the PCN classification (Pavement Classification Number) according to ICAO technical prescriptions.

Study included pavement tests with Faling Weight Deflectometer (FWD), layer e-module back-analysis and joint inspection for concrete pavements.
