DETAILED PLAN OF EAST MITRENA

The Plan is located on the Mitrena Peninsula, 55 km away from Lisbon and 10 km from the city center of Setúbal, the main urban and economic center on the southern shore of the Lisbon Metropolitan Area (AML). It lies between the Navigator industrial complex and the boundary of Sado estuary. This peripheral location, in the transition between an industrialized zone and a natural zone of high environmental value and landscape quality, determines the urban and environmental qualification of the peninsula considering the industrial pole of Mitrena and its activities, as well as the improvement of its physical and functional relationship with the surrounding natural patrimony.
