SAQUINHO DAM & SUPPLY NETWORK

Arch-gravity concrete dam for water retention to supply agriculture watering, irrigating a total of 44 ha. Crown accessible to pedestrian traffic. Saquinho dam characteristics:
. Maximum height above foundations of 33,9 m and crown with total length of 87,6 m;
. Bleeder sized for a maximum flow of 312,0 m³/s, consisting of a single free discharger (type Creager) by the discharge channel on the badges below the dam, ending a ski jumping hill;
. Bottom discharge (Ø500 mm) inserted in the dam body and sized for a maximum flow of 1,8 m³/s;
. Water supply for irrigation (Ø300 mm) in the upstream face of the dam.
The irrigation water system uses a main conduit FFD cast iron (Ø125 mm), pumped from a station to be built in the Tabugal agricultural area, and 2 valves in high density polyethylene (Ø110 mm), one for each bank of the river for the reservoirs to be built in Chã do Monte (500 m³) and Ribeirão Areia (250 m³).
