The Transmontana Highway connects inland trough the north of the Douro River, between Vila Real and the Quintanilha border.
The ongoing contract includes road condition surveying and pavement management system (PMS) of a concessioned freeway with about 132 km, with the elaboration of Intervention Projects. Structural and functional monitoring of pavement characteristics, namely load capacity assessment (FWD tests); longitudinal irregularity (IRI), surface texture with laser equipment; and resistance measuring (Griptester). Monitoring of daytime and nighttime visibility characteristics of road markings with Dynamic Retroreflectometer (Ecodyn) and resistance measuring with British Pendulum. Signaling condition survey including the measurement of retroreflection with Retroreflectometer.
Pavement monitoring, treatment and updating of data in PMS. Reports with maintenance strategies. Monitoring of signaling and road signs and road inventory.
