VIAEXPRESSO TUNNELS - FIRE-FIGHTING WATER NETWORKS

Envisaged system comprises water intake, using preferentially the public water supply network or existing rainwater drainage channels, water storage in reservoirs and water distribution threw a network that will supply the fire-fighting systems inside the tunnels. The design include the following works:
• 6 (six) reinforced concrete water reservoirs with 120 m3 capacity (2 x 60 m3);
• 4 (four) pumping stations;
• 1.700 m of water supply network in DCI DN150mm;
• 8 km of distribution network inside the tunnels.
