TAP has inaugurated the expansion apron serving its main maintenance hangar (Hangar 6). NRV was responsible for the preliminary study and detailed design — as well as for providing technical support during the construction phase.
The new facility adds approximately 9,500 m² of operational space, enabling up to four aircraft to be positioned simultaneously. It features a large-scale gate that separates airside and landside operations while also deflecting jet blast from aircraft operating in the vicinity of the apron.
