ALTERATION OF THE CAIS DOS POVOS SUBDIVISION PROJECT

The subdivision project is located in the municipality of Vila Franca de Xira, in the Lezíria area, near the Tagus River, south of the Northern Railway Line, in the surroundings of Quinta da Ponte. It is a subdivision with a valid permit issued in 2007. The developer intends to reduce the development density and, in general, adapt the urban design to new requirements in terms of environmental sustainability and mobility, while also taking into account the new Municipal Master Plan.
The total area of the subdivision is approximately 57.0 hectares, of which 32.8 hectares have been designated as an “urbanizable area.” The remaining area (24.2 hectares) is mainly dedicated to an urban park and other complementary spaces, including green areas and public facilities.
The development density has been reduced from 1,966 to 1,410 housing units, corresponding to approximately 3,480 new inhabitants.
