CAPE VERDE AIRPORTS - PHASE 1A INVESTMENTS

Phase 1A of the modernization program for the Cape Verde airports under the Vinci Airports concession. Detailed Design for the EPC contract.

The modernization program covers four international airports (Sal, Praia, Boavista and São Vicente) and three aerodromes (São Filipe, São Nicolau and Maio).

The work includes improvements to runways, terminals and also an environmental component with the production of renewable energy at the four international airports.

The project is aligned with VINCI's environmental strategy—to reduce the carbon footprint (CO2) of its concessions by 50% by 2030 and to achieve carbon neutrality (NetZero) in its airports by 2050—while also aligning with the commitments made by the Cape Verdean government at COP21, aiming to exceed 50% of energy production from renewable sources by 2030.
