AMMAN CIVIL AIRPORT: RUNWAY REHABILITATION & TAXIWAY EXTENSION

Amman Civil Airport (ICAO code. OJAM), commonly known as Marka International Airport, is the first airport in Jordan an it is located in the northeast quadrant of Amman, about 3 kms from “Al-Mahatta Terminal".  The infrastructure has one runway 06/24 with 3.275m long.

The intervention at Amman Civil Aviation Airport has the propose of ensuring safety conditions, improving operability and ensuring the runway's capacity to accommodate projected traffic. It includes the rehabilitation of airfield pavements, grading and expansion of runway strip, improving the drainage system, rehabilitation of existing airfield service roads and rehabilitation of airfield ground lighting system.
