MSW with first contract in Senegal

11 July 2019

The construction of the access bridge to a bulk carrier wharf (for loading and unloading ore) is already underway at the new port of Bargny, south of Dakar, Senegal.

The method of construction adopted incorporates a high level of pre-fabrication, with steel infrastructure (stakes foundations and respective bracing frames) and reinforced concrete slabs on the deck. The bridge will serve a quay that will be located about 1,450 m from the coast.

MSW, together with NRV West Africa, is responsible for reviewing the design and supervising the works. The NGE-LeDuc consortium is carrying out the work (design and construction).
