One of the highlights of our calendar during 2016 was the activity developed in airports. In Angola, we were on the construction supervision of the new international airport of Luanda. In Guinea-Bissau, we made our debut supervising the rehabilitation of the parking area of the airport of Bissau – the only international airport in the country. In Madeira island we did the supervision of the runway rehabilitation and terminal expansion. Finally, back in Lisbon, the expansion of the accesses to the runway – to increase the capacity and better security conditions – was supervisioned by us.

We took some important steps, getting out of the comfort zone. In partnership with the spanish consulting company ARRAM we took an adventure by developing projects in the industrial engineering area, in Angola and Portugal. Also in a partnership, this time with the French SETEC, we received the qualification from Infraestruturas de Portugal (IP) to become eligible for railway projects.

After the Christmas parties, new year’s celebrations and the Three Kings Day festivities, we begin 2017 with all drive to start new projects, find challenges and discover destinations – but before that, we remember some highlights of the past year. In 2016 we changed the denomination in Mozambique (to NRV Mozambique), debuted in Guinea-Bissau and travelled to Egypt to sign a contract with a luxury resort. But we will get to that.
22 September 2016
In the beginning of September we travelled to Egypt to sign a consultancy contract for Jebal Resort. The 250 thousand square meters of this tourist resort that will rise on the mountains (about 127 km of Cairo, in the El Sokhna area) will have rooms with a privileged view to the warm Red Sea. With different types of lodging – from villas to hotel rooms or apartments – the resort will also have a private beach, a floating swimming pool, a water park and a leisure space with a hundred stores.

In September our Facebook page renews its energy and makes a comeback to follow all the projects. This time we have good news from Madeira Island that is still recovering from the devastating fires. It’s on the final phase the construction of the motorway of Câmara de Lobos – a project that will serve the population of Estreito de Câmara de Lobos and of Jardim da Serra, shortening the distance to Funchal.
